It has been over three years now and:  "The reality is that you will grieve forever.  You will not 'get over' the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it and go on with living.  You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered.  You will be whole again but, you will never be the same.  Nor should you be the same, nor would you want to."  Written by: Elizabeth Kubler-Ross and John Kessler

The Reiki Principles

Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings.

Just for today I will not worry.

Just for today I will not be angry.

Just for today I will do my work honestly.

Just for today I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing.

I am still amazed, grateful and blessed every day that my daughter introduced me to Reiki Healing Energy, and how it has added to and continues to change my life.  I practice Self Reiki Treatments every day and receive it's healing benefits as well as sharing them with others.  Reiki holistically moves the body's energies back towards balance physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.  It goes where it is needed most.

Schedule an appointment today so you can experience the benefits of Reiki Healing Energy for yourself.  Join us the third Thursday of each month for a Reiki Share.

Your body's ability to heal is infinite!

After Forrest transitioned I didn't feel much like doing anything for a long time, but there was so much to do and take care of that I had no choice.  Most of our family and friends lived in NH and his family wanted to have a memorial for him.  We settled of having it on May 18th, his birthday.  I began to research ideas for the memorial and to put together a memorial book for him.  My friend Jeannene thought the memorial book would be healing for me to do and I wanted something special for the memorial and started the long process of putting it together.  It took until the memorial in May to finish it but I finally was able to get it done.  Jeannene was right about it being healing even though it was a very emotional process  to go through all the photos and papers, and memories, etc. to put the memorial book together.

When I went to NH in May to do the memorial service, Karren had bought a gift certificate for a Reiki session with Beth Crawford - Southern NH Reiki Center. Karren and her daughter had been going to see her for some time.   I thought it would be a good idea after the drive to relax before the memorial so I scheduled a session.  I had no idea what to expect but Beth was awesome as well as the Reiki session.  I fell in love with Reiki and after the session with Beth I was totally hooked on Reiki and wanted to do what Beth did.  I scheduled a second session with her before going back home to South Carolina.

When I got homeI continued to study on my own until Feb. of 2013 when I decided it was time to find a Reiki Master/Teacher and take classes.  I located a teacher in Greenville, Dove Pettit, and scheduled a class with her for Reiki I.  There was one other student in the class who is now a very good friend and neighbor, Beth Frost-Lewis.  We found out we were both from New England, and both lost our husbands to cancer.  The universe worked its magic and put us together.  In April we both took the Reiki II class with Dove.  We wanted to practice Reiki on others so we found Reiki shares in the area so we could practice giving and receiving Reiki. In August I found Sharon Bridwell at Windsong Spiritual Retreat in Taylors.  I took other classes with Sharon  and took the Reiki Master/Teacher class with her in Jan. 2014.

I was first introduced to Reiki by my daughter Karren when she called one day and said MOM something happened at work today.  The owners wife came in and said she had something to share with me.  She said to close my eyes and sit back.  I could feel her doing something around my head but didn't know what it was.  I could feel her hands without her touching me and knew where they were.  Her hands were cold but and the energy felt wonderful.  When she finished I opened my eyes and asked her what she had done because the pain I had in my sholders was gone.  She said she had been reading about Reiki and explained that it was energy healing and that's what she had been doing.

I was very interested in what she had experienced and a few days later I went to the book store and looked for books on Reiki.  I bought my first book of many and went home and read it cover to cover.  I told my husband Forrest about it and he said he knew about it, a friend that told him about it a few years earlier.

Forrest hadn't been feeling well and at the beginning of November 2011 he finally agreed to go to the doctors for a check up.  The doctor was concerned that he might have colon cancer and anted to scheduled him for testing at the hospital, but Forrest wouldn't agree to go until the end of November.  The tests showed that he did have colon cancer and he was scheduled for surgery.  He was in the hospital for over a month and I began to use the Reiki healing energy that I had read about in the first book that I bought months before even though I had not received any training or attunements.  He said he could feel the warmth and energy from my hands and it made him feel so much better.  (You see we all have the ability to use the divine energy, we just have to believe we can.)  What I love about Reiki the most is that it makes you feel that you can do something to help instead of feeling like there is nothing you can do. Forrest came home over the Christmas holidays and after 3 days went back to the hospital.  On Dec. 29th he was moved to hospice and transitioned on January 3, 2012.
